Total Mobility

DRC Southland is a registered assessor agency for the Total Mobility subsidised taxi scheme.

The scheme is for people with disabilities, and each trip ticket entitles the user to a maximum subsidy of $25 per one way trip. Our assessor will help work out how many tickets per week or month you are eligible for if you qualify for the scheme.

Who is eligible for Total Mobility Subsidised Taxis? The scheme is available to people who because of physical, sensory, intellectual, neurological or psychological disability are unable to: • proceed to the nearest bus stop • board, ride securely and alight • proceed from the destination stop to the trip end without assistance

How do I apply? Call us at DRC Southland ph 214 5000 to make an assessment appointment time. If required, we can visit you at home if you live in the Invercargill city area.
